The Highschool Retreat

OK well first off, the highschool retreat was awesome overall i think i got a lot out of it. I liked being away from all the electronic stuff I usually use like computer, TV, cell phone etc.. It was cool to just hang out with people and spend time with God at the same time.

Every morning we would have like 45 mins to just spend time alone with God. So i went up on this cliff thing to do my devotions and pray. Just being on that cliff and looking down at all the trees and even the ocean I was thinking wow I never take much time to think that God created all this! A lot of time people just go on this cliff and think oh yea this is cool but don't take time to think about God in all that.So that was pretty cool for me... and also another thing we did during one of the lessons was to invite God to do things in your life and we wrote them down on a card. I wrote "God I invite you to have a relationship withe me outside of church not just in it, Show me that your real and show me you love me when it feels like no one else does" I think everything I wrote down happened or is in the process of happening,which is great! Im gonna try harder to spend more time in Gods word and about the showing me thats God is real thing, I was talking to Shane about a lot of different things and after about 2 hours of asking questions I think i have a much better understanding of it, and as far as the last thing goes,feeling loved, when i didn't feel loved i think God showed me that love through my leaders and friends during the retreat.

And as for the rest of the retreat! I remember the first night it took us forever to go to bed cuz no one was tired but the second day we went to the beach and then came back and played games so we were dead tired that night and the next morning! Then Thursday we went to wild rivers and had an awesome time there! Katie brought Micah too, he is so cute! I remember when we were eating lunch i was eating a cookie and Micah wanted some so i gave him a piece and then Ainsley comes up and grabs a huge chunk off my cookie! i was like ok then,haha... and to finish off the retreat we played ultimate frisbee! which was awesome! we also played Mafia like everyday of the retreat which was awesome because in junior high the guys always play by themselves in there tent so i never get to play but this time i did! most of the time i was the first one to die though and i think 70% of the time(at least) i was a citizen so they had something against me haha, anyway this whole retreat was awesome and Im so glad that I went!
